Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
This weekend we say goodbye to Fr. Patrick.
As you have heard me say before, an Associate Pastor’s ministry
in a parish often concludes after a two to three year period. The
reason Associate Pastors move more frequently than pastors is to
give them more experience of the diverseness of parish life before
they are themselves are named pastors of their own parishes.
So, after three years of ministry here at St. Mary’s, Fr. Patrick
now moves to Transfiguration Parish as its new Associate pastor.
I hope and pray that Fr. Patrick will be able to take with him the
good parts of my ministry here as Pastor and throw away those
parts in my character and ministry that have not been of Christ.
May Fr. Patrick take the good he has learned and apply it to his
new posting.
I am sure that you join me in wishing Fr. Patrick many blessings
and success in his new role as Associate Pastor of
Transfiguration Parish.
May God bless you Fr. Patrick and rest assured that you will
remain in our prayers.
Blessings,
Fr. Liborio
