God's Love

Dear brothers and sisters Christ,

In today’s Gospel there is included we have one of the most commonly known
scripture passage, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only-begotten
Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have
eternal life.” (Jn.3:16)

The letters and numbers “Jn.3:16” has been used in many a sports event and
as signs in many a protest and advocacy gatherings. It has and continues to be
used as a tool for evangelization for those who do not know to what extent the
Lord loves us. For us Christians we know that God’s love is so great that He
gives us His only Son Jesus Christ and allows that Son of His to die on the
Cross. Yes, there is no greater love than for a person to willingly lay down their
love or another.

I encourage you to pray this short passage of scripture (Jn.3:16) and let it seep
into you – even to the very marrow of your bones. Let us appreciate all the
more the gift of God’s Son Jesus Christ.
